I was initially attracted to UChicago due to the exceptional faculty. In my communications with faculty prior to joining the Cell and Molecular Biology program, it was clear they were invested in my development as a scientist. However, UChicago’s strongest selling point has to be the sense of community shared by its students and faculty. While broadening my development as a scientist, I have also found a place for myself socially within the Molecular Biosciences cluster, which consists of CMB and four other programs. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of these programs, I have formed relationships with and learned from colleagues in many adjacent research fields. I am honored to be affiliated with such a collaborative and supportive community.
